One of the coolest things about being in close community with the fellows this year is being given
opportunities to share in each others' passions. One huge way that we are doing this is by putting together a massive Thanksgiving dinner for
anyone and everyone that wants to be a part of it. This idea was birthed out of
a dream that Tripp (the fellows director) has to see the entire city of
Greensboro breaking bread together to celebrate Thanksgiving. We are calling it
“Pay it Forward” because we are hoping that those who are able will not only
buy tickets for themselves, but also for others that cannot afford to pay for a
ticket. We want to embody the love of Christ by reaching across cultural and socioeconomic
boundaries to fellowship with the people in our community.
We are specifically partnering with:
New Arrivals
Institute, a non-profit that uses education to equip refuges and immigrants get assimilated
into the US culture. http://www.newarrivalsinstitute.com/
Hope Academy, a school specifically geared to equip
at-risk youth in Greensboro to alter the course of their future through
education and the love of Christ. http://hopeacademygso.org/
Will you consider joining us in this celebration of thankfulness for all the Lord has blessed us with?
Whether or not you buy a ticket for yourself
to attend the dinner, I would love for you to consider enabling someone else to be a part of this Thanksgiving meal by purchasing a ticket for them!
